With the La Marzocco Connected Scale, suddenly every dose is a simple, precise step without the hassle of manually measuring out each gram or needing to rely on timers.

This system measures coffee by weight in real time. With Grind-by-Weight , La Marzocco has made it easier than ever to dial in with consistency and precision. The communication between grinder and scale is via BLE. No app is required during grinding.

Once grinding starts, the grinder automatically dispenses and stops when the exact weight is reached. The scale communicates with the grinder in real time, meaning:

• No need to weigh coffee separately.

• No reliance on a timer-based grind that might fluctuate

• The grinder may perform a small micro-grind at the end to hit the target weight precisely, so give it a second or two after the initial stop.

This ensures every dose is identical, leading to consistent extractions.

Pico, Swan and Jay grinders are fully connectible and compatible for the Grind by Weight and could be connected with La Marzocco connected scale.

To achieve the Grind By Weight option the coffee station must be created first.

Select the grinder already in app and connect the La Marzocco connected scale to complete your coffee station. Perform the location training and you’re ready to grind, by weight!

Communication between the La Marzocco connected scale and the grinder occurs exclusively via Bluetooth. The La Marzocco app requires a Wi-Fi connection to configure the doses (single, double, or a continuous flow mode), which are then relayed to your grinder via Bluetooth. Once paired, the grinder and scale will function without the app being open. Bluetooth connection challenges may stem from interference from other devices, an unstable connection due to physical obstructions, or compatibility issues with other devices. If you encounter incorrect weight measurements, first ensure that the scale is stable, properly calibrated, and free from any objects that might interfere with measurement accuracy. Each brew cycle should culminate with three short “beep” sounds from the scale, indicating completion.
